Taieri Gorge Train Ride – This prestige tourist train operates from the historic Railway Station in Dunedin and takes visitors through the rugged and spectacular Taieri River Gorge. Trip includes full commentary, photographic stops and on board refreshments is available.

Dunedin Botanic Gardens – Established in 1863, Dunedin Botanic Garden is the oldest in New Zealand and offers a wide range of amenities and specialised plant collections. Entry is free and the gardens are open from dawn to dusk so you can leisurely enjoy the stunning gardens, the aviary with over 200 birds (mostly exotic species), the Winter Garden Glasshouse and the Alpine House. Guided tours are also available.

The Westpac Aquarium – Open daily from 10am – 4.30pm with guided tours at 10.30am, this is a great way to view unique marine life from Southern New Zealand waters, including octopus, seahorses, crayfish, sharks and more.

Otago Peninsula – Take a tour with Elim Wildlife Tours or Monarch Wildlife Cruises to view this spectacular region and wildlife. View the Royal Albatross, penguins, seals and bird life galore!

Larnach Castle & Gardens – If you love New Zealand antiques, carved ceilings, castles, stunning views and beautiful gardens then a visit to historic Larnach Castle is a must! New Zealand’s only castle boasts spectacular tower views and a Garden of International Significance where you can meander through 9 different gardens before enjoying a refreshment break in the Ballroom cafe.

Cadbury World – A must for chocolate lovers! Located in the centre of Dunedin, enjoy a fun filled and fascinating guided tour around the Cadbury chocolate factory and sample Cadbury product along the way!

Dunedin Public Art Gallery – One of New Zealand’s finest art museums showcasing the best of local, national and international art. The Gallery maintains an impressive and varied programme of regularly changing exhibitions and is located in the heart of the city where New Zealand sculptor Neil Dawson’s Cones superbly complement the stunning architecture of the new space.

Hare Hill Horse Treks – Located in Deborah Bay on the north side of the Otago Harbour, Hare Hill is a 60-acre farm only 20 minutes from Dunedin city. Hare Hill offers horse riding suitable for the beginner right through to the more advanced rider throughout the year.

The Octagon – A well known meeting place with the locals in the heart of the city, this is where you will find plenty of ‘top-notch’ bars and cafes or just sit on the grassy bank and enjoy the bustle of the inner city.

Otago Settlers Museum – Established in 1898, the museum is considered one of the country’s most significant social history museums. Learn about the indigenous Maori, Chinese goldfield workers and other migrant groups. We suggest you pre-arrange a guided tour.

Speight’s Brewery Heritage Tour – The Speight’s Brewery is truly an Otago icon and this 90 minute our of a working brewery and heritage centre is a “must see” for any visitor to the Otago region. Of course at the end of your informative and interactive tour you can enjoy the range of beers in the private Heritage Bar!

Guided City Walk – Take a guided, informative walk in a relaxing manner and small group. Enjoy a guided tour through Dunedin’s charming Old Town with features such as St Paul’s Cathedral, First Church and Dunedin Railway Station.
