From the stunning white sandy beach of Fortescue Bay, enjoy close up views of glistening waters and impressive large kelp forests, and make sure you keen an eye out for a dolphin or seal frolicking in the ocean!

The walk is approximately 10km’s return and walkers should allow at least 3-hours return for this trip.

Graded as a Level 2 walk, this means the walk is considered easy and suitable for most fitness levels with tracks that may have occasional steps and a formed gravel or hardened surface.

Walkers should ensure they have sturdy walking shoes or boots, sun hat, sun block, sunglasses, clothes to suit the weather, raincoat, woollen jumper, snack food and drink.

Parts of this walking track are very close to water; therefore it is recommended that children are kept under constant supervision.

Please note that pets are not permitted on this track. Firearms and bicycles are also prohibited.

Facilities:

At Fortescue Bay there is a camp site, a boat ramp, drinking water and picnic and toilet facilities are available.

Vehicle Access:

From Arthur Highway (A9) go to the junction with Fortescue Bay road (C344) then turn into C344 and drive 12km to Fortescue Bay. Please note that the road is unsealed but is suitable for 2WD vehicles and mountain bikes. Please be aware of logging trucks on this road.
